   Proposal Description:
   The purpose of this study is to examine the neuropathological differences in subjects who were diagnosed with aMCI or naMCI at the time of death. By comparing the frequencies of plaques and tangles of different brain regions, as well as looking at other pathological changes we will attempt to find distinctions in the pathologies of aMCI and naMCI.  Because of the differences in conversion rates of the two subtypes to AD and differences in the symptoms of the subtypes themselves, our hypothesis is that there are significant differences found in the neuropathology of the two MCI subtypes.
